After this set some friends opined "your imagery is getting kind of religious"
This is perhaps an accidental side effect owing more to the qualified utilitarian genre of foregrounded physical objects employed in my "bicameral" performances than to any overt conscious symbolic intent represented in these objects...
Let me say here that these objects are generally 'discovered' - through the criteria of their scale and transformational efficacy when employed as 'working' parts within the sound activated imaging system - more than 'chosen' for any more obvious symbol logical or narrative purpose predetermined at the outset.
That said - it should perhaps come as no surprise that our modest search for objects apprehended for their inherent (but perhaps hidden) "image-icity" should net us some 'religious' overtones along with the rest.
Generally i try to steer clear anything with even a faintly Judeo-Christian tinge... somehow this one slipped by.
